Set on one of Antigua's many beautiful beaches, this exclusive hideaway offers guests a fabulous combination of superior service, caribbean cuisine and rustic luxury in a very natural setting. Much of the architecture here is inspired by the French artist Gauguin. The charming individual cottages with their separate bathroom and splash pool are surrounded by lush gardens. There is a peaceful, natural lagoon which is host to rare birds, pelicans and herons. There are 3 excellent restaurants offering intimate, candlelit dining of excellent quality. Ismays* restaurant, offers a higher quality dining experience to be shared for that special occasion. At sunset, hors d'oeuvres are served at the Sea Grape Restaurant, which overlooks the sea from under its Tahitian-style roof. There are activities and water sports, but reclining with a novel from the library is equally as popular.

98 rooms on 1 or 2 floors. All with balcony/terrace, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, telephone, coffee maker, mini-bar stocked with water and soft drinks on arrival, safety deposit box, bathrobes and hairdryer. Gauguin Cottages are situated on the edge of the bird sanctuary lagoon, just 50 yards from the beach, with king-size beds, sleeping 2 persons. In addition, the cottages include a refreshing outdoor splash pool. They have a private bathroom which is not en-suite, but located in a separate unit adjacent to the bedroom, with a walk-in shower.

Superior Beachfront Rooms — charming rustic rooms in 1-storey buildings, en-suite shower room with private patio located directly on the beach, sleeping max 2 persons.
Deluxe Beachfront Rooms — in 1- or 2-storey buildings, located right on the beach, these are larger and well appointed with spacious bathrooms which have a walk-in shower. Rooms sleep max 2 persons.
Premium Beachfront Suite — in 2-storey buildings, these have a bedroom and sunken living room with wet bar, huge bathroom with twin sinks, large bath and double walk-in shower, plus ocean views, making these the largest and most luxurious option with ipod docking station and wireless internet. Rooms sleep max 3 persons, with a rollaway bed for 3rd person.
