Things are so relaxed on Sanibel Island that a snail's pace is seen as unnecessarily hasty! The West Wind Inn is made for relaxing, though you might have to leave your sun lounger sporadically to visit the pool bar for more refreshments. However, if you insist on a bit of activity, there's free tennis, a shuffleboard court (a very addictive game, believe us) and of course there's shelling to be done - it's the island's big pastime and we defy you not to get into it! Rooms are large and well-equipped, each with its own balcony or terrace. Normandie restaurant serves breakfast and lunch daily.
