In a nutshell
Most of our Kissimmee hotels can be found along the US Highway 192 just
a few miles south of the WALT DISNEY
WORLD Resort. This road has
undergone a drastic facelift recently.
The beautification project has
resulted, among other things, in
attractive landscaping and the
installation of sidewalks (pavements
to us), which have made it a very
'walker friendly' area. A system of
colourful guidemarkers assist
holidaymakers in finding their way
around. There are lots of very
reasonably priced restaurants, and
the hotels tend to be pretty good
value too. Attractions include
WaterMania with its dizzying water
rides and Old
Town with over 75 shops and
restaurants. Great restaurants there
include the Cadillac Diner for '50s fun
with live music on Saturday nights,
and the Venezia Dua, serving fine
Italian fare. Disney's Town of
Celebration is also along this stretch,
and has some lovely restaurants like
Columbia for tasty Spanish
concoctions.
