They say they have the whitest and finest sand in the world here, and it is that, combined with the warm weather and wonderful sunsets, that has been attracting holidaymakers to this coast for many years. Our hotels are on 2 keys, basically long thin islands fringed by sand and supporting lush vegetation. Cycling is popular here. Pedal down to St Armands Circle where there are attractive restaurants and great shops. In the town of Sarasota itself there are more lovely restaurants, along with galleries, theatres and museums, for this is the cultural capital of the Gulf Coast. If you like live jazz and blues in little bistros and romantic sunset walks along the beach, this is the place for you.
