Only from Virgin Holidays, the Savannah Beach is a beautiful resort offering some of the best accommodation on the South Coast. When it comes to family holidays, children and teens are extremely well catered for at this hotel, there is a fantastic family entertainment centre to keep even the most energetic children entertained, featuring the Pirates Cove Kids Club for the smaller ones and Finn’s Surf Lodge for the older ones featuring the latest in interactive social gaming technology. If you are here to relax, simply chill out by one of 2 swimming pools, on the beach, or at one of the bars and restaurants. There really is something for everyone here.
Where is it?
Ideally located on the South Coast of Barbados. 5 min from Bridgetown. The Garrison Savannah Race Track is opposite the hotel. Transfer time from the airport 20 min.
Eats and drinks
3 restaurants; the main restaurant, Rachel's has a twist on Caribbean/International fayre, open for buffet breakfast daily, and gourmet à la carte dinner 5 nights a week and buffet dining twice weekly. The Beach restaurant and bar is open 7 days a week for lunch and 5 nights a week for dinner serving a wide range of barbecue, pastas, grilled fish and burgers for lunch and in the evening a themed dinner including Mexican, Indian, Chinese as well as Caribbean cuisine. There is also an Asian fusion* restaurant called Chopstix open 5 nights a week for dinner (16 years and over only, a supplement of $25 BDS per person will apply). 4 bars including a late night bar that opens from 11.00pm – 1.00am. A coffee station is available in the main restaurant. Afternoon tea will be served daily.
Entertainment
Live entertainment 5 nights per week, including themed nights and floor shows. Brunch on a Sunday ($25 BDS per person supplement).
Fun and games
2 Swimming pools 1 that meanders, beach volleyball and non-motorised water sports available. Excellent family entertainment centre featuring a supervised Pirates Cove Kids' Club (3- 8 years) and Finn’s Lodge (9-16 years) featuring the latest in interactive social gaming technology. The general family room has a pool table, table football, darts and table tennis.

94 rooms and suites on up to 4 floors in 5 buildings with 2 lifts and a plantation house. All with air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, in-room safe, alarm clock, radio, fridge, tea/coffee maker, hairdryer, bath and shower. The Plantation House Rooms are situated in the historic Savannah building. Warmly furnished with traditional Barbadian furniture adding to the historical Plantation theme with 1 king-size bed, sleeping max 2 adults and 1 child, child to be accommodated on a rollaway bed.
Room Upgrade
Deluxe Courtyard View Rooms offer a glimpsewith views of the Caribbean sea, gardens and pool. These rooms have luxurious bathrooms, outside balcony/patio and 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping max 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 child.
Deluxe Pool View Rooms are as per the Deluxe Courtyard Room and have views of the pool, 2 double beds, sleeping max 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
Deluxe Pool Access Rooms are as per the Deluxe Courtyard Room but have direct access to the pool from your room, with 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping max 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
Deluxe Beachfront Rooms are as per the Deluxe Courtyard Room and directly in front of the beach, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping max 2 adults and 1 child.
Pool View Suites are very spacious with a large balcony, a separate sitting room which has its own vanity area, mini-bar area and a sofa bed, a separate bedroom with 1 king-size 4-poster bed. Sleeps max 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
Oceanview Suites are as per the Pool View Suites but are directly in front of the beach, sleeping max 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
Family Suite - the Savannah Beach has 1 Family Suite consisting of 2 interconnecting rooms with pool views, the 1st room has 1 king-size bed and has been designed to give all necessary luxuries to parents, the 2nd room is a kids paradise, decorated in a modern children’s theme, has 2 bunk beds, and a single sofa bed. In the room there is a toy box for the youngest children, a games console for the older children, their own flatscreen TV, DVD player with their own DVD library and their own soda bar. Both rooms have balconies. Sleeps max 2 adults and 3 children.
