The story goes that Tensing Pen takes its name
from the original owners dog, Tensing. And, in Jamaica, one
of the words for a home is yard or pen, hence the name
Tensing Pen.
As you enter through the gates of this
unpretentious resort, Tensing Pen envelops you with a
feeling of warmth and serenity, a feeling of coming home!
The original Tensing is no longer there to greet you but the
new Tensing, a Rhodesian ridgeback, has done a good job of
taking his place. Tensing Pen is an escape for singles and
couples.
Where is it?
Tensing Pen is one of the most spectacular properties on the
cliffs with lush mature tropical gardens... almost a
jungle-like feeling to it. A unique feature of the property is
its Yoga cottage which is also great for meditation. It is also
an amazing spot to experience those famous Negril sunsets.
Transfer time from Montego Bay airport: 1 hour 45 min
Eats and drinks
The new restaurant is cozy and takes its inspiration from the
safari lodges of Africa. One of their excellent cooks will be
delighted to prepare some tasty Jamaican meals for you.
Complimentary continental breakfast is served daily between
7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Including the world famous Blue
Mountain Coffee... inhale and you can almost smell the aroma!

Facilities
Several swimming points from the rocks with ladders built into
the rocks. Isolated cliff-edge cabanas, parasols, hammocks
and loungers. Open-air restaurant and bar, Open air massages
are available. A unique feature of the property is its Yoga cottage
which is also great from meditation.

cliffs with most rooms having their individual style and
layout. 17 rooms and individual cottages with a romantic
ambience. All with terrace, garden view, hand-made tropical
