Originally a 17th-century sugar plantation, this family-run inn has 35 acres of lawns and gardens, with charming cottage rooms and more in the beautifully restored Great House. Days here are wonderfully simple. If you like, the daily shuttle will take you to the beach, or you could potter around the inn. After a poolside lunch, be pampered in the gorgeous Mango Orchard Spa.
Where is it?
Ottley's Village, in the foothills of Mount Liamuiga, 20 min from Basseterre, the island's capital. 15 to 20-min shuttle from the beach. Transfer time from airport: 15 min.

23 English colonial-style rooms in the 2-storey Great House and 7 single-storey 2-Room Cottages throughout the grounds. Standard Rooms are cosy and simple and have a shared balcony/private terrace, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, coffee maker, mini-bar, safe, iron and board, and hairdryer. Rooms have queen-size bed, sleeping max 2 adults.
Room Upgrade
Deluxe Rooms - much larger, airy rooms in either the Great House or a cottage with king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping max 4 adults. TV available on request. Supreme Rooms - these spacious rooms have a patio with sun deck and a private plunge pool, Italian tiled bathrooms with Jacuzzi, and a king-size bed, sleeping max 3 adults.
