This family-owned and managed inn is a relaxed,
informal place where you step back in time. Its still a working
plantation, rearing goats and growing fruits, vegetables and
cocoa.
Spend your days reading by the cliff-edge pool,
pausing occasionally to admire the stunning view over the
famous Pitons. The views of the Pitons and Caribbean Sea are
spectacular and as ever-changing as the weather over the
hilltops. A must for nature-lovers and ideal for couples, a group
of friends or families - La Haut offers excellent value and a
unique experience with friendly staff and a magical ambiance.
Where is it?
Set 770 feet above sleepy Soufriere, with spectacular views
of the Pitons, you feel as though you are quite simply on top
of the world. The fabulous location allows you to really
experience what it is like to live and work on the land in St.
Lucia. 20-min drive from Anse Chastenet beach. 1 1/2 miles from
the little town of Soufriere. Transfer time from airport: 1 hour.
Eats and drinks
Restaurant and bar (breakfast, lunch and dinner) serving
great food, try the fish cakes, pumpkin chips, rotis and
delicate flying fish. The fish is caught locally and the
vegetables are home-grown food including freshly
squeezed juices (in season) for breakfast.

Facilities
If you manage to drag yourself away from the Cliff-edge
pool overlooking the Pitons, you can help feed the baby
goats and donkeys. Or ask for a guided tour of the estate
and learn how tropical fruits are grown and processed.
There is also a snooker table and piano for you to enjoy.
Complimentary shuttle at fixed times of the day to the town
and beach. Grey volcanic sand beach, best snorkelling and
scuba diving in the area.

10 rooms with high, cathedral-style ceilings, period rattan
furniture, dark wood floors and old, colonial charm. Sculpted
towels and bougainvillea flowers on your bed daily. All with
large balcony/terrace, ceiling fan, fridge, toaster and safe,
Standard Rooms sleep max 3 adults or 2 adults and
2 children.
Room Upgrade
Superior Rooms are located on the upper floor with better
views, sleeping max 2 adults (not suitable for children).
