This unspoiled Caribbean island is perfect for those seeking a quiet, laid-back holiday in beautiful surrounds.
In a nutshell
Home to the oldest protected rainforest in the Western Hemisphere, it has enchanted many over the years. Some of David Attenborough's Trials of Life series were filmed at the Little Tobago Seabird Sanctuary and underwater explorer Jacques Cousteau was enraptured by the coral reefs. Many are just offshore from the beach, making snorkelling easy and one of the great pleasures of a sojourn here! Things get lively on a Sunday night at a big street party known as 'Sunday School' where soca rhythms fill the air and the street comes alive with dancing!

Quiet Beaches
In Tobago you are never far from the beach - some popular with water sports, restaurants and bars, others serene and secluded. Englishman's Bay is one of Tobago's jewels, located on the edge of the rainforest. Pigeon Point is also idyllic. Man-O-War Bay is sandy and great for swimming.
Close to Nature
The tropical rainforest and Little Tobago are great for birdwatching with over 210 species to spot. There are also 3 types of marine turtle, and whale watching is popular. For natural splendours, head to Argyle Waterfall and Speyside fishing village for spectacular views.
Scuba-diving
Speyside is Tobago's dive capital, but there is unrivalled diving to be had at sites all over the island. Underwater delights include over 300 species of coral, turtles, sharks, manta rays and tarpon. The beaches at Grafton Resort, Courland Bay and Turtle Beach offer plenty of water sport facilities, and the turtles lay their eggs here.
FREE Entrance
Guests can enjoy FREE entrance and a COMPLIMENTARY drink at Pigeon Point with its long white sandy beach, blue waters and thatched-roof jetty. Snorkelling, water sports and glass-bottom boat cruises are available here.
