This fabulous award-winning boutique hotel boasts a fascinating history. Built on the ruined remains of Fort King George in the 1950s, the Blue Haven attracted stars like Rita Hayworth and Robert Mitchum.
Both the Queen and Princess Margaret visited the hotel and several films, including Swiss Family Robinson, have been filmed here. Although forgotten for a time, it has since been fully restored to offer perhaps the finest accommodation on Tobago. All rooms have breathtaking ocean views and are very well equipped. Amenities include the colonial Shutters on the Bay Restaurant and No Problem beach bar, which is renowned for serving exquisite seafood. During the day, laze on the beach or by the pool, admiring the panoramic ocean views.
Where is it?
On the southern coast, a 5-min drive from the main town of Scarborough, the Blue Haven hotel is surrounded on 3 sides by the sea and opens onto a palm-fringed, romantic, half-moon beach. Transfer time from airport: 15 min.

Shutters on the Bay Restaurant (featuring exquisite seafood, and international gourmet cuisine infused with West Indian spices), No Problem beach bar (also serves lunch and occasional dinners), lounge bar with terrace overlooking the ocean and its beautiful sunset.
