Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa

I do not have a single bad thing to say about this resort. It is close to the airport. There was 16 restaurants to chose from and the food was fantastic. There was activities for kids of ALL ages and the 45000 sq ft waterpark (included a lazy river, surf simulator and several slides) was incredible!! I had a room in the new "Italian village" which was stunning. There are 2 other sections to the hotel; the "Caribbean village" which is the orignal section; and the "French village" that is just as beautiful (it only offers French Balconies which looks nice but if you like to sit out on your balcony, do not stay in this section). It is the most stunning beach I have seen in the Caribbean, white sands with turquoise blue waters. Turks & Caicos is well known for their diving and with the Beaches resort, diving is included. If you are not certified, they have courses available for you there at a reasonable cost. Any of the resort staff that I dealt with, was friendly, hard-working and well-trained. If you are not looking for a cheap holiday, but for the best value for you money, go to Beaches Turks and Caicos!!! Close

Our family just returned from Beaches Turks and Caicos. We flew Non Stop from Philadelphia. We have 2 girls 7 and 4. We traveled with my sister,her husband and 9 yr. son. We stayed for 7 nights and had a Honeymoon Junior Suite connecting with a Grande Luxe Room in the Caribbean Village. (LOVED THAT) Our room had kingbed and trundle bed for 2. This village has nice size patios and balconies. Quieter than other areas and close to beach. (If you want to be closer to Waterpark, request East Wing, #10.) Our room was concierge with a in room bar (Stocked daily with beer, wine, sode, juice, water and champagne) Also they had snacks in the room for the kids that would be replenished daily. Those little touches make a difference. BEACH: AWESOME! We have been to Cayman, Aruba, Mexico, Jamaica and this is truly one of the best. It is long, white and water gorgeous. No rocks or weeds, walk in and enjoy. You can snorkel right off the beach. No boat trip needed. Our girls even used just goggles and fins. Fish galore. There was big coolers with cups for water all day long if you get hot. Plenty of beach chairs. FOOD: We ate in all but 2 restaurants. Fantastic. Try the Conch Stew and Chowder! The staff at every place was more than accommodating. Especially to the kids. If you didn't see something for them, they got it. If you go to Kimonos(Japanese), order from the Sushi Bar 1st, then it will come to your table before dinner. It is right next door. You can order pizza to go and put in a box. Eat it on the beach or poolside. Bobby D's Diner is terrific. It has a swim up soda bar for kids. Food is corn dogs, hot dog, grilled cheese, etc. It has a ice cream bar, salad bar and coffee station. With all 16 restaurants to choose from, we didn't have a bad meal. They have a weekly Beach BBQ. The set up for this is great. Music, food, drink and show. BEER: Bud and Miller Lite along with Turks Head (the local) with more selection in The Crickteers Pub SERVICE: All around everyone was wonderful. A warm smile and small talk can go along way. No complaints! Everyone goes the extra mile for you and your children. POOLS: IMPRESSIVE! You can go to a different pool every day if you want. Big swim up pool bars, with tables in the pool! Plenty of float mats, umbrellas, and chaise lounges. We never had to fight for one. Pools start to get crowded around 9am or so. Another note, there were towel stations all over. Never had to wait for clean towels. WATERPARK: It is great. Lazy River is nice size with plenty of tubes. The kids enjoy the slides and there is a few places for the real young ones to enjoy sprinklers. The surf simulator was crowded. The husbands enjoyed this one too. Note: Lifeguards are visable and on duty! ROOMS AND VILLAGES: Caribbean Village has charm of old caribbean. Pastel colors with nice size patios/balconies. They have rooms and suites. Tucked into well kept grounds. Very tropical feel to it. French Village is farthest from the beach but closest to waterpark and they have a great pool! Zero entry for smaller kids, hot tub and great pool bar. 2nd and 3rd floor rooms don't have balconies. Patios only for ground floor. Rooms are decent in size. The new Italian Village has a large pool with bar and again zero entry. Newest rooms, all suites and very modern looking. Closest Village to beach. No matter where you stay you can go everywhere. The grounds are kept up. It is just beautiful. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. Many hammocks, chairs and loungers to relax. Adult Only Jacuzzi Area was nice. Street Party is loads of fun. The kids love it. Take pictures with Seasame Street Character, dancers and band. If you decide to use the Kids Camps, feel confident! All the girls and guys are terrific. You will need their Passports to sign them up. We feel this resort to be the best family all inclusive in the Caribbean. They truly thought of so many things to make it easier. Talk about attention to details! What a fabulous resort! The service there was excellent! My son has many food allergies, and the staff made wonderful dishes and desserts for him that he had never had before (thanks, Antonio!). Our suite came with the butler service, which really came in handy with my son's food allergy special orders, and they helped with our lost luggage! (We miss you, Ellen and Aide!) The room was absolutely top-notch. There was room to sleep at least nine people and had two bathrooms (two showers). Turks & Caicos was absolutely beautiful. The water was absolutely beautiful, and the snorkeling and scuba diving are great there. There are so many things to do there from the swimming pools to the water park to tennis to snorkeling to the XBOX area to playing pool to all of the great restaurants. I could go on and on. Our whole family had a fabulous time and would absolutely love to go back again!!! Close

We were honored to have our agency to be invited to the Grand Opening celebration for the new Italian Village of Beaches Turks and Caicos and stayed there from May 10-18, 2009. It was a trip of a lifetime and we highly recommend this resort. Besides being there for the festivities, we were also there doing research for our travel agency, Dream Makers Vacation Services. We traveled as a family of 2 adults and 4 children-ages 11, 8, 4 and 1. We flew into the PLS airport on USAIR and arrived on-time with no problems. Since we were Butler Guests, we were picked up at the airport in a private van. This was a nice touch and we were at the resort within 10 minutes. We were greeted warmly by Satar, the head Butler and also by Arnold who would be one of our two Butlers for the week. We were told as our welcome drink that we could have “anything we want” and the kids said that they wanted a virgin pina colada. As part of Butler service, we were already asked our preferences ahead of time so they already knew our likes and dislikes. My husband likes Guinness beer, so of course they were waiting for him as well. We stayed in the new Italian Village which opened at the end of January. To say that the village is gorgeous would be an understatement. This is certainly the most comprehensive family vacation ever created. My favorite aspect of it is the huge half-acre zero entry pool, which is also heated. The water park was also expanded to include numerous waterslides, a surf simulator, Club Liquid teen night club, plus the Scratch DJ Academy. Our kids also loved the XBOX 360 Game Garage-all included, of course. Our room was 3126 which was technically a Concierge Room (a Piazza Pool Front Walkout) but we were given Butler Service to go with the room. Our Butlers were Arnold and Donard and they were very friendly and hard-working. The resort was expecting to be full during the Grand Opening potion of our stay, hence why not everyone invited to the event was able to have a Butler Suite. Our room was gorgeous and easily fit our family of 6 (bunk beds were a great idea!)! At first, I was disappointed not to have a view of the ocean but the convenience of being able to walk right out to the pool, ended up being a better fit for us anyway as it was much more convenient (and our view of the pool area was still gorgeous). If we needed anything, we were just steps away from our room. The Italian Village Pool area has approximately 16 luxurious private cabanas and our Butlers reserved one for us each morning. They are also available for rent for non-Butler guests for an additional fee. The cabanas provide shade from the sun, drink service, lunch service (often I never left my cabana during the day), a cooler stocked with your favorite drinks and snacks. Although I did not utilize it, there was even an outlet for a computer inside the cabana-wow! I highly recommend that you reserve a cabana for a day, if you do not have a Butler Suite. Beaches Turks and Caicos has 16 restaurants, so there is something for everyone. Our favorites are the adults-only Le Petit Chateau and Sapodilla’s. We also enjoyed eating at Mario’s, Kimonos and the Bella Napoli Pizzeria. We would often save room for dessert and visit the Cafe de Paris, which is an amazing cafe with a wide selection of delicious French pastries, coffees and baguettes. All 4 of our children used the kids programs to some degree. Our four year old son probably enjoyed it the most and went on treasure hunts, went swimming in the Kid’s Camp own pool, made cookies with Cookie Monster, made sand castles on the beach, etc. Our 1 year old takes a 3-4 hour nap each day, so we would have him take it in the air conditioned baby section of the Kid’s Camp. At night, we would pay an additional fee and often have a Nanny from the Kid’s Camp join us. This way, if any of our kids were tired or wanted to do something different than the group, everyone would be happy. For our past few vacations to the resort, we have used Janet who is kind, good with children and trustworthy-we highly recommend her. My husband is a scuba diver and loves diving in Turks & Caicos. The people at the dive shop are very friendly. The dive masters are friendly, they know the dive sites and what to look for. Sandals & Beaches dive operations are all very safe. Their equipment is very good. My husband doesn’t bring any of his gear and is very happy with their equipment. They dive in 3 different areas: Grace Bay, Northwest Point, and West Cay. Each area has a number of different dive sites. Turks & Caicos is full of marine life. Every dive we saw something cool. I saw barracuda, sea turtles, sting rays, sharks, dolphin, and many other interesting fish. If you travel between November & March, you will see Hump Back Whales (this is their migration season). Remember, if you are a certified diver, scuba diving is included—don’t forget your certification card. The Grand Opening Celebration for the new Italian Village took place during the time period of May 14-18, 2009. There was a multitude of celebrities in attendance such as Debi Mazar, Catherine Bell, Jenna Elfman, Bethenny Frankel, Peter Facinelli, Jennie Garth, Joey Fatone, Robert Buckley, Cheryl Hines, Lou Ferrigno, and Maria Menounos among others. There was also press representatives from most major publications as this event was featured in many magazines. It was extremely exciting to say the least. We spent our days chatting with celebrities at the pool area and most of them were quite gracious with allowing us to take pictures with them. We also filmed a commercial (with other guests) for Beaches with the Clique Girlz who sing the Beaches theme song in their commercials. Some activities for the group included a Karaoke sing along, surf simulator lessons, a concert with DMC at the new water park and the ribbon cutting ceremony. The ribbon cutting ceremony was beautiful and was attended by numerous dignitaries from all around the Caribbean. The food and drink afterwards was elaborate and tasty. Best of all, guests at the resort were encouraged to attend all events-everyone was welcome. We were very sad when we left since we know that nothing will ever come close to this vacation. We look forward to returning soon! Beaches Turks and Caicos has it all whether you are attending one of their fun-filled BFF weekends (kind of like a girls night, but on an exotic island for 4 nights), whether you are there for a Destination Wedding or if you are just there for some fun and sun. The management at this resort is second to none with the amazing team of Don, Adrian, Florian and many others. Even though the resort was full and expectations for the event were sky high, this resort delivered a “home run” and we had the trip of a lifetime. The resort and beach look just like the pics on the website. Gorgeous. Very relaxing. Access to all three villages and all within walking distance. Food was excellent! People made the difference. Everyone very polite and interested in how you are enjoying your stay. Close
