The Caribbean offers plenty to give the whole family a great holiday. From beautiful beaches for sandcastles, with safe,
shallow waters, to sea-life encounters with dolphins. We have so many different islands for you to choose from - there really is one to suit everyone. And if you can't decide, why not do a twin-centre and visit more than one island - the best of both worlds!
So much to do...
Get closer to sea life
Go turtle and whale watching in Tobago,
swimming with dolphins in Jamaica
or feed the hammerhead and great white sharks in the
Bahamas. Maybe snorkel over some of the world's most colourful reefs whilst watching the fish swim past you.
Water sports
Tire out the teenagers with snorkelling, body boarding, windsurfing, water-skiing,
parasailing and yachting - available all over the Caribbean. Try Xel-Ha, in Cancun,
a natural theme park with plenty of watery pursuits to delight all the family.
Adventure
On dry land you can horse ride through the jungle or mountain bike through
the world-famous Pitons in St
Lucia. The whole family will love the various biking and hiking trails on
the islands, getting to grips with nature and their beautiful surroundings.
Barbados Sports Camp
In its 3rd year, the Barbados Sports Camp is a unique event as it provides coaching for children in their summer holiday. This incredible camp gives children the chance to play their favourite sports, whilst being coached by well-known sports stars. The camp is absolutely FREE to children of families booked on a min 7-day stay on the island, so if that's you, you're in for the time of your life!
The camp is aimed at children between 9-17 years. There's cricket, football and netball on offer. Children will be split into age-related categories; after al, we don't want any unfair advantages! The emphasis is firmly on fun, but it's guaranteed kids will learn plenty of new skills, improving their game no end.
The camp will be held at the University of West Indies (UWI) sports ground, just outside Bridgetown and is easily accessible by hire car or public transport.

Tips on travelling with kids
Plan your trip
Look for hotels with short transfer times - your flight to the Caribbean will take approx 9 hours, so the last thing you want at the end of the flight is a long transfer.
Getting there
Beat the queues at the airport and take advantage of Virgin Atlantic's hassle-free Online Check In service or use Twilight Check In at Gatwick the night before you travel.
Read more about pre-booking your seat on-line!
Virgin K-iD backpacks will help keep them entertained on the flight, but for younger children, also take some of their favourite things from home to keep them amused.
When it's time to leave, use Virgin Atlantic's fantastic 'Check In Chill Out' service - it means you get to spend the last day of your holiday on the beach rather than at the airport!
If you want to explore your chosen island, then why not hire a car - much more convenient than public transport and you can pre-book a car seat.
