Tranquil quiet beaches and endless crystal clear waters are what brings guests back year after year to this island, Englishmans Bay is one of Tobago jewels.
Local Flavour
The most popular lunch time snack on the island is Roti, an envelope of soft dough, containing rich curry and vegetable - it is so filling that it can keep you filled up until lunch.
Culture
Tobago was hitched onto Trinidad by the British in 1899 to form a single state. While you are here visit the Fort King George Museum, the little Tobago bird sanctuary and play golf at the Championship course at Mount Irvine.
Shopping and Markets
Shopping malls, markets, craft-shops, wayside vendors - bring an extra suitcase! You can buy most things here ranging from Exquisite pottery, paintings, leatherwork and jewellery as well as the internationally acclaimed pepper sauce.
Key Events
Crab and Goat Racing. Yes, really. Takes place in Buccoo on Easter Tuesday, and has to be seen to be believed. The goats are accompanied by 'jockeys' who run alongside them, and the crabs are guided toward the chequered flag with bits of string.
FREE Island Experience
Guests can enjoy free entrance and complimentary drink at Pigeon Point, with its long sandy beach, blue waters and thatched-roof jetty. Snorkelling, water sports and glass-bottom boat cruises are available here.
