Experience the different sides of Mexico with this exciting adventure and unearth the myriad delights Mexico has to offer. One of the oldest and largest cities in the Western Hemisphere, Mexico City is packed with plenty to see and do. You can explore ancient sites, as well as discovering the city's colourful history and sampling the city's food and culture. Then move on to Cancun with its sandy beaches and the clear azure water of the Caribbean Sea. You can also stay in vibrant Miami beforehand, for more sun mixed with plenty of shopping and nightlife.
Days 1-3: Miami
If you fancy a few days to unwind and relax before you visit Mexico, spend a few days in Miami, soaking up the sun and enjoying the shops and restaurants. Your room-only hotel is the Riu Florida Beach, located on the white sands of Miami Beach.
Day 4: Mexico City
Mexico City has a diversity that cannot fail to intrigue and reward its visitors. Mexican culture in all its variety can be found throughout the city - there really is something for everybody. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to NH Parque Central hotel, your base for the next 4 nights.
Day 5: City tour and floating gardens
Today you will really get an insight into the city as you enjoy a tour of the most important historic buildings and monuments. Learn about local history and art in the National Palace and don't miss the Diego Rivera murals. Other sights on the agenda include Chapultepec Park, once a refuge for the Aztecs. After lunch, you'll continue to Xochimilco to admire the world-famous floating gardens. (L)
Day 6: Pyramids of Teotihuacan
More of Mexico's intriguing history comes alive today, as you visit the Shrine of Guadalupe, followed by the Pyramids of Teotihuacan, some of the most impressive ruins in Latin America. Walk around this ancient city's main avenue, before exploring the temple of Quetzalcoatl and the famous pyramids of the Sun and Moon.
Day 7: Free day or optional tour
Today you have the choice of what you want to do. Relax at your hotel, or explore more of the city on your own if you wish. Alternatively, you can choose between going to Taxco or Puebla. Taxco is a mining town known for the quality of its silver and the beauty of its narrow, cobbled streets. Puebla was the principal city of colonial Mexico, and it soon became well known for its beautiful textiles and exquisitely decorated pottery.
Days 8-14: On the beach in Cancun
Having sampled the bustle of Mexico City, now's the time to relax and appreciate some of Mexico's natural blessings. The Barcelo Tucancun Beach resort is an all-inclusive beach-lover's dream. Not only do you have the sparkling sea on one side, but on another is the pretty Nichupte Lagoon.
