Behind the hotel the white-gold, sandy beach is waiting for your virgin feet. It goes on for 6 miles and there's beach volleyball and water sports for those not content to merely bask in the sun.
There are regular beach barbecues at the Sand Bar and Grill and happy-hour drinks in the friendly Wreck Bar, which is situated below one of the swimming pools and featured in the hit film Analyse This which starred Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal. A delicious breakfast is available in the Clipper Steakhouse, and the 'early bird' dinner specials are a great money saver. Live entertainment and dancing in the port lounge make for a lively atmosphere.

On the beach, at the southern end of Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard. 5-min drive to Las Olas Boulevard.
