Palm Beach is one of Florida’s best kept secrets – and we’ve uncovered it for you! Named after the palm trees which are dotted around the area – the trees are actually impostors! When a Spanish cargo ship en route from Havana was wrecked off the coast, the coconut cargo was washed ashore and grew up into the trees that Palm Beach is named after! It is well known for having a relaxed Caribbean atmosphere, as well as beautiful beaches and a wonderful mix of culture, history and nature.
Singer Island is located to the east of Palm Beach. Named after the Singer Sewing Machine founder, Singer Island has parks, marinas, hiking and bike paths, as well as 47 miles of sparkling white sand beaches making it the perfect place to slip on your flip flops and relax few days.

Attractions include the Flager Museum, hailed on its completion in 1902 as 'more wonderful than any palace in Europe'; Mar-A-Lago, the opulent former estate of socialite Marjorie Merriweather Post; and the peaceful Four Arts Gardens, perfect for families. Meanwhile, for shopaholics there's upmarket Worth Avenue, boasting over 250 shops, art galleries, boutiques and restaurants. And if you were wondering how the coconut trees ended up here, they landed in the 1880s after a shipwreck and hung around, put down roots and flourished. Chances are you'll want to do the same.
Florida's Eastern most town, the world-famous Palm Beach is an essential stop on any Floridian adventure, not least for movie fans - the area featured heavily in the film Marley & Me. As well as the Jennifer Aniston connection, the town (also called Palm Beach Island to differentiate it from the county) boasts mile upon mile of wonderful, pristine white sandy beach on which to kick back and let your cares float away. The hotels here are particularly family-friendly, wit rooms regularly childproofed and day camps for the kids in many of the bigger places, so it's worth asking what's offered.
