Sun Peaks is a popular choice for skiers and boarders who return each year, and you will understand why when you know that the area benefits from more than 5 metres of snow on 3 mountains in winter, namely Tod Mountain which has a longest run of a leg-aching 8,000 metres!, Sundance Mountain and Mountain Morrisey. This very family-friendly resort has plenty to do when the soft stuff appears, there’s every kind of snow activity you can think of, including sleigh rides, dog sledding, tube park, ice skating and snow mobile tours to name a few.

The village centre is charming and has more than 20 restaurants and bars catering for every appetite both large and small, from Italian to Japanese.
Getting around
There is a complimentary seasonal shuttle bus that runs morning and afternoon in a loop around the resort.

Since the slopes are uncrowded and the green trails are wide, learning how to snowboard at Sun Peaks is a fun and relaxing experience.

With the lions share of the terrain falling in to this category and three mountains to choose from whether its skiing or snowboarding take your pick of the many trails.
Advanced ****
With a range of advanced and expert trails for those who like a challenge, the aptly named Challenger run will put you through your paces or you could try Paddy’s nightmare if you dare!
Snowboarders ****
Sun Peaks is great for snowboarding because there is very minimal traversing, and the runs start right from the top of the lift.
