In a nutshell
Your Jasper ski holiday will be unlike any other. High in the Eastern Rocky Mountains, Marmot Basin provides over 1,675 acres of fantastic terrain, only 20 minutes from the resort of Jasper. Skiing here amongst the lakes, trees and glaciers is a magical experience.
Even better, this is one of the least crowded ski areas of its size in North America, with plenty of room for everyone, from beginners to experts, to enjoy the alpine fun and games. Intermediates who are starting to get really good will have a particularly great time in Jasper. Ski the beautifully groomed black runs to get the knees warmed up first thing, and then move on to the resort's steep, high alpine bowls and chutes for some serious fun! There are plenty of long, gentle novice runs too, and a great ski school, with special snowboarding clinics. On top of all this, the skiing here is great value.
Après-ski
Jasper has lots of restaurants and bars, all geared up to look after snow sports fans. Try the Whistle Stop pub, which has the largest selection of beers in town, and make the most of the 3-hour happy hour in O'Shea's pub.
Getting around
There's a regular FREE shuttle bus to ferry you from your hotel to the Marmot Basin when you purchase your lift passes through Virgin Holidays.
Getting there
Flights: Direct with Air Canada from Heathrow to Calgary, flight time 9 hours 10 min or Edmonton, flight time 9 hours.
Driving Time: 5 hour 30-min drive from Calgary or 4 hours from Edmonton, through spectacular scenery.
Transfers: Can be arranged from Calgary for £120 per adult return and £75 per child return (12 years and under), £99 per adult return and £66 per child return from Edmonton - return transfer from Jasper back to Edmonton makes a scheduled 3-hour stop at West Edmonton Mall. This gives you the opportunity to enjoy the fantastic shopping and entertainment available at the world's largest entertainment and shopping centre, it's so big it's even got its own indoor water park!
