Whether you’re an expert, or just learning to ski, Colorado is an amazing destination for a ski holiday. Known as the Rocky Mountain State, this is a real winter wonderland. Its high altitude, reliable snowfall and average 300 days of sunshine combine with the remarkable terrain to offer everything that skiers and snowboarders love. Colorado skiing conditions are known as some of the finest in the world, with facilities to match. The different resorts all have their own personalities; just choose how and where you want to ski. Colorado will captivate you.

Aspen is one of the most famous ski resorts in the world, probably as well known for the celebrities it attracts as for its great skiing and snowboarding slopes! But Aspen is not just for posers, its runs and trails are magnificent and you don’t have to be rich and famous to enjoy them.

Breckenridge is a relatively small resort (by American standards) but is one of the UK’s favourite ski destinations, partly because it offers a great range of runs, slopes and trails for skiers of all abilities – and partly because of its authentic Old Western atmosphere! Once a gold mining town, Breckenridge town centre is a designated National Historic District.

Steamboat is famous for the unique quality of its snow. Known as ‘champagne powder’ it is genuinely drier and fluffier than snow in other areas. The terrain is brilliant for intermediate skiers. Steamboat is one of the quieter resorts in the region, so if you like the idea of skiing without a crowd, this is the place for you.

Vail is the largest ski resort in the U.S. There are over 5,000 skiable acres of this amazing mountain! 7 amazing bowls covering a full 6 miles! If you’re an expert or intermediate skier, this is the kind of terrain that will bring a smile to your face.

Winter Park is an unpretentious resort with a laid back atmosphere. The skiing is great and the town is friendly, with a good choice of places to eat and relax after a day on the slopes. And for those who fancy something a bit different, there’s dog sledding, snowshoeing, sleigh rides and even an option to ease those aching bones in hot sulphur springs.
