Destination informationDestination information

With its high altitude and consistent snow record, Breckenridge skiing is guaranteed to be great all season. That’s one reason why this has been the most popular American resort for British skiers for many years. There's also a good range of pistes across the 4 peaks, providing a great mix; skiing in Breckenridge really does cater for all abilities. And there are some outstanding facilities for snowboarders, including a specialist park and half-pipe.

Founded in 1859 and formerly a Victorian gold-mining town, there's plenty of character here too with renovated clapboard buildings at the bottom of Main Street complemented by modern shopping malls to cater for your every need. Christmas lights twinkle for much of the winter season and with over 100 restaurants and bars, this lively resort town can boast a welcoming atmosphere to rival any USA ski resort! What's more, our accommodation is very close to the base of Peak 9 and the lively attractions of Main Street - so you get the best of both worlds - Breckenridge skiing and après-ski!

Après-ski
Breckenridge is a great destination for those seeking a lively après-ski scene. Happy hours and live entertainment await those returning from the slopes and there are stacks of restaurants to choose from when you've had your fill of early-evening drinks.

Sample the atmosphere of the Wild West bars including The Gold Pan Saloon dating back from gold rush days or The Brewery - the 'liveliest bar in town', famous for its on-the-spot brewed beers. And for those who think they can co-ordinate 2 left feet, you could try some line dancing too!

Beginners *****

As the base of Breckenridge is a whopping 9,600ft. Beginners benefit from excellent snow conditions on the nursery slopes.

Intermediates *****

This is a great mountain for intermediate skiers. You’ll find plenty of skiing on Peaks 8 and 9 before trying the more difficult blue/black runs on Peak 10.

Advanced ****

The top of Peak 7 provides some really challenging double-black bowl terrain. The most expert skiers among you will want to test your technique on the Lake Chutes!

Snowboarders ****

Freeway is one of the best terrain parks in the US with a number of great jumps and a huge championship half-pipe. There’s also a terrain park to suit all levels and Breckenridge has just introduced a beginner’s park with easy jumps.
