Extra Car Hire Charges
Insurance, Taxes and Fees
All cars are supplied with all rental charges and third party
cover included. In this section we give you all the slightly dull but highly necessary info about the various
extra charges involved in your Flydrive or Car-Included holiday. Please read!
LDW - comprehensive cover
'Loss Damage Waiver' is not included. It provides comprehensive
cover for all damage to the car no matter how caused, provided you have not violated the rental agreement.
It is technically optional, but if you do not take it you will be asked to provide evidence of credit worthiness,
including a major credit card with a minimum credit line of $1,500 and you will be liable for any and all damage
or loss - including loss of use of the rental vehicle up to its full retail value - regardless of fault. WE
STRONGLY RECOMMEND LDW.

UMP - Uninsured/underinsured motorists protection
In the USA motorists can legally drive with only
minimal insurance cover. UMP covers you against the eventuality of your being injured in an accident with
this category of motorist. It is also effective in the event of the other driver having no insurance. Medical
cover is already provided by your holiday insurance so this cover is secondary to that but provides
compensation up to the limit of $1 million per accident (up to $300,000 in Boston) in the event of serious injury.

California
All vehicles in California can be supplied with snow chains, which can be bought for $35 ($27 credit return
if unused). Chains are required for famous 'dumps' of snow and high passes with 'Drive with Care' conditions.
Advice on fitting chains can be obtained from garages displaying 'Chains supplied and fitted'.

Snow chains are not permitted.
Colorado and Utah
Snow chains are not permitted.
Canada - snow chains and ski racks
Ski racks CAN$5 per day. Snow chains are not available in Canada.
One-way rentals
A charge may apply for one-way rentals. However, no charge applies for one-way rentals in California. Please
check at time of booking for the cost of a one-way rental charge.
