General information
The 3 ski areas, Ski Banff @ Norquay, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise are
all gems in their own right – having all 3 together is magical! Tempt
yourself with World Cup downhill runs, or beautifully pisted wooded slopes.
The new gondola for Sunshine makes for speedy and comfy access, and the majestic
views from each mountain are unbeatable.
Beginners
All 3 ski areas have great nursery slopes, while many green runs throughout
the area are designated 'slow-zone', making progressing easier and safer.
Intermediates
Half the terrain in this area has been given an intermediates classing, so
whether you're looking for wide, open slopes or narrow, winding runs, Banff
@ Norquay, Lake Louise and Sunshine Village will have just what you're looking
for!
Advanced
In Banff, Goat's Eye Mountain has some serious double-blacks to test you and
on Mount Standish a run called 'Waterfall', where you ski over a snow-covered,
frozen waterfall, should be tried out too. Lake Louise has numerous steep runs
and loads of picturesque double-black runs through the trees plus loads of wide
open bowl skiing off the 'backside'.
Snowboarders
This area is boarders' heaven! The 3 ski areas have a multitude of terrain
parks including 1 in Lake Louise called Showtime, which is extremely impressive.
