Destination information
The clear, clean waters are wonderful for swimming in during summer or take a hike in the surrounding forests and mountains. Or, take to the peaks in winter and show off your winter sports skills! Emerald Bay, featuring Eagle Falls waterfall, is breathtaking, as are views from the scenic chairlifts. We also highly recommend the sunset cruise for what is quite simply an unforgettable experience.
Away from natural wonders, there are Wild West towns to explore and Al Pacino's house from The Godfather II. At night, casinos grace the Nevada side of the border and elegant restaurants populate the California side.
Eats & drinks
There are plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy, including Mulligans and Tudor Inn in South Lake Tahoe. Casinos in the Nevada end of the village also feature eateries galore.
