Biking, hiking and horse-back riding are great ways to get out and experience the Sonoran Desert or hop in your hire car and drive the Apache Trail National Scenic Byway - a 48-mile round trip through the mountains! Shopping enthusiasts are well catered for with plenty of malls to discover.

Getting around

Your (air-conditioned) hire car is the best way to see the various sights and attractions. If you are staying in Downtown Scottsdale, the City of Scottsdale operates the Downtown Trolley, a free, year-round, downtown shuttle for visitors, tourists and shoppers that runs every 20 minutes, 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Thursday evenings only until 9 p.m. Enjoy Old Town, the Arts District, Fifth Avenue Shops, Scottsdale Fashion Square, the Waterfront and SouthBridge at your convenience
