Just over 150 miles to the north of Portland is the cosmopolitan and uber trendy, Seattle. From the moment you step foot into the European-style cafés and bars you’ll discover a coffee obsession that runs much deeper than you may have imagined. After trying out the local brew, get ready to explore some of the sights of Seattle including: Green Lake Park, Pike Place Market, Seattle Art Museum and the restored architecture of Pioneer Square. Travelling around the city is great fun too and the monorail will take you into the heart of Seattle Center which is home to the famous Space Needle and the cultural hub of the city.

You will find everything from delicious seafood to a good American steak here with literally hundreds of restaurants to chose from including Japanese sushi and speciality vegetarian restaurants.
Getting around
Seattle has an excellent public transport bus system called Metro which might come in handy for some of those more hilly tours of the town.
