Atlantic City
Prohibition is over people and there's never been a better time to hit the shores of Atlantic City and stroll along the original American boardwalk, in search of: stylish shopping, attraction-packed piers and plenty of glittering casinos.
Renowned as the east coast's answer to Vegas, it's no surprise that AC was the inspiration behind the board game Monopoly and, if you're looking to break the bank and have some fun then this is what it's all about. Atlantic City is regarded as a premier party capital and comedy dens, lounge bars, 24hr gaming and dance-till-dawn clubs will all tempt you from an early start. If you do manage to rise before midday you'll discover a lovely mixture of museums, galleries and gardens scattered around the city to ensure your stay is as fascinating as it's fantastic.
Thanks to the city's shoreline location there are loads of things to do beachside with surfing, fishing and kayaking amongst the excellent alternatives to the glitzy city streets. However you choose to spend your time, there's never been a better place to indulge and from boardwalk favourites, such as pretzels and foot-longs, to gourmet restaurants, featuring everything from steaks to seafood, Atlantic City's got the lot.
Texas
Yee-haw! Cowboys, 10-gallon hats, dusty desert landscapes, oil tycoons and the Rio Grande River: They paint only a small yet iconic portion of the picture in Texas. In fact, the nation's second largest state is vast not only in size, but in variety. One thing you are guaranteed is a big-hearted welcome in 'The Lone Star State'.
There is no doubt that if you travel around Texas for long enough you will see hints of the Wild West, but during your holiday you will also see a variety of stunning landscapes that change from dark pine woods, to rolling
