The Ranch
Located in picturesque Coronado National Forest, Tanque Verde Ranch offers a wide variety of terrain to explore. Founded in the 1880s as a working cattle ranch, it became a dude, or guest ranch in the 1920s, welcoming guests with a range of activities and offering beautiful desert and mountain views. Being a resort ranch, Tanque Verde offers an extensive range of activities, so it's particularly well suited for those who want to ride but also want the option of doing other things. There are 3 swimming pools (indoor, outdoor and children's wading pool) as well as a large jacuzzi and saunas in which to relax after a ride. Of course, horse riding is a major activity and the ranch boasts the largest stables in Arizona, so whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, you'll find a class for you on the riding schedule, from beginners' lessons to rides of varying speed through the spectacular scenery. The ranch offers a programme specifically for children 6-11 years to help them enjoy the ranch to the full. You can ride every day if you wish, or choose to enjoy the ranch's facilities.
