Upon arrival in Vancouver, transfer independently to your downtown hotel. As you check-in, you’ll be handed your Jonview Canada Roadbook to peruse at leisure that evening over a drink in the lounge. The next day is entirely yours to explore. Highlights include the world-famous totem poles at Stanley Park, the MacMillan Planetarium for star-gazers, historic Gastown and the Capilano Suspension Bridge, which is not for the feint-hearted! It’s time to take to the road this morning, waving goodbye to the coast and heading inland over a great maritime plain to Harrison Hot Springs, situated at the foot of Harrison Lake and flanked by mountains. Enjoy a stroll along the beach perhaps, followed by a dip in the hot mineral springs which have made the town famous. En-route, a visit to Minter Gardens is highly recommended.

Another scenic drive today, to Penticton via the dense forests of Manning Provincial Park. Stop en-route in the park to stretch your legs along the Dewdney Trail or the Rhododendron Flats. The charming town of Penticton lies amidst the lush orchards and vineyards of the Okanagan Valley, renowned not only for its abundant fruit produce but also its lovely beaches and hot, dry climate.

There’s time this morning to really enjoy the beauty of the Okanagan Valley before hopping in the car again to journey past spectacular waterfalls, towering peaks and serene lakes. The evening is spent in Revelstoke, a year-round outdoor adventure playground with a lovely town centre.

Drive through Glacier National Park this morning and Rogers Pass en-route to the bustling town of Banff. An absolute must pit-stop is Lake Louise – one of Canada’s most photographed lakes and deservedly so! You’ve ample time in Banff to really see the sights, getting stuck into some outdoor pursuits perhaps, of which there are plenty and taking a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain for views you’ll never forget. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants to relax in.

Swap one national park for another this morning, via the spectacular Icefields Parkway. There are some incredible glorious photo-opportunities en-route so take your time, arriving in Jasper late afternoon to enjoy to the full this charming alpine resort. Like Banff, there is plenty for the outdoor enthusiast here with biking, hiking and cycling trails galore. Canoeing on Maligne Lake is another popular pastime or hop onboard the Jasper Tramway to get to grips with your stunning surrounds.

2 night at Wells Gray Inn (Standard), Helmcken Falls (Superior)

Drive the scenic Yellowhead Highway to Wells Gray Provincial Park this morning, stopping at Mount Robson, Canada’s highest peak, en-route for some great views. Your base for the night is close to Helmcken Falls, the fourth highest waterfall in Canada and the very reason why the park was established!

It’s a shorter drive today into the dramatic cattle ranching country of the Cariboo Region. The intriguingly named 100 Mile House was born in the 19th century during the days of the Gold Rush, when a roadhouse was built to service gold seekers heading into the gold fields. A truly fascinating town, the feeling of history you get when staying here is immense!

Continue onwards to Prince George today, stopping at Barkerville en-route, a restored pioneer settlement from the Gold Rush era. Highlights include Beacon Hill Park, the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, world-famous Butchart Gardens and afternoon tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel.
