Kamloops

Today you’ll board the famous Rocky Mountaineer train that winds its way through the spectacular Canadian countryside towards the Rockies. Pass through the fertile Fraser River Valley and view the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains before entering the Fraser Canyon. See the thundering waters of Hells Gate and follow the Thompson River to historic Kamloops, gateway to British Columbia’s interior.
Jasper

Back on board the Rocky Mountaineer, the train follows the Thompson River through rolling plateaux into the snowy
peaks of the Monashee Mountains. View Pyramid Falls and the expansive glaciers of the Albreda Icefields before passing by Mount Robson – at 3,954m, it’s the highest peak
in the Canadian Rockies. Arrive in Jasper, in the heart of Canada’s largest mountain park, by late afternoon. Next day, enjoy a short scenic tour and then the rest of the day is your own.

Today you’ll explore the Icefields Parkway by coach, stopping

Your morning is at leisure, then in the afternoon you’ll be taken to Yoho National Park, where you visit Emerald Lake and the Spiral Tunnels. Continue on to Banff for a late-afternoon arrival.

After a morning tour of Banff that includes a gondola ride to the peak of Sulphur Mountain and lunch (not included). Your tour continues to Kananaskis for a short Summit Helicopter Tour then come down to earth for the journey onto Calgary, where you spend your last night,
and the tour comes to an end.
