Some people thrive on the idea of planning a wedding, others dread the thought...
but whichever type of planner you are, we want to make sure your special day
goes without any hitches. So here are a few hints, tips and deadlines which
should help you get through the months ahead...
Once your wedding has been confirmed you can relax and let us take care
of the details.
Approx 12 months in advance...
Decide upon the location and the venue. Once this important decision has been
made, get your holiday booked and preferred wedding date requested to avoid
any disappointment. Once your wedding has been confirmed you will receive written
confirmation within 10-14 days.
Between 12 and 6 months...
Decide who you would like to attend your wedding - some couples prefer to have
an intimate ceremony for 2, others prefer to invite friends and family along
too. If you prefer the latter, make sure your guests are fully aware of the
costs involved, and if possible, add them to your booking at the beginning.
Approx 6 months in advance...
Check your passport is valid (many countries require passports to be valid
for 6 months or more after your return date); check whether you need any inoculations
and whether or not you require a visa to travel to your chosen destination.
About 5 weeks before...
You will receive a final written confirmation letter from your wedding co-ordinator
detailing your chosen wedding package, your wedding location and your confirmed
wedding date and time.
About 2 weeks before...
You will receive your holiday documentation - this will include your full itinerary,
flight tickets, accommodation and transfer vouchers. Please note, your holiday
documentation will arrive separately to your wedding documentation. Please check
everything thoroughly and contact us immidiately if you have any queries relating
to your documentation.
About 1 week before...
Start to get really excited - your dream day is not far away! Make a list of
everything you want to take, contact the wedding party so everyone knows where
and when to meet (you don't want anyone to be late!), but above all, relax and
take it easy - you want to be feeling your very best for your special day!
