Without a doubt though, the centrepiece of the resort is the three-pool swimming complex covering a whooping 2500 square metres. A dramatic seven-metre high water cascade flows over a rocky slope out of the central building, cascading down over a cave grotto into a warm, winding lazy river. There’s also a party pool surrounded by whimsical jet sprays and the lower pool, which is the largest of them all with sun-lounging terraces and unobstructed views of the sea. Also well worth a mention is the outrageous 80-metre corkscrew water slide, providing masses of fun for everyone. After splashing about in the blue stuff, treat yourself to a pampering session at the Olympus Spa or head to the Souk with its folklore shows, traditional shops for stocking up on souvenirs and delicious food stalls. At night, the Sala Thai is a charming place to relax or head to the Beach House, poised on the edge of the breathtaking Red Sea and serving seafood grilled to perfection.
