A favourite with Virgin Holidays' guests, this hotel sits in lush tropical gardens beside a white sand beach. Recently renovated, the Coco de Mer hotel is named after the unique Coco de Mer Palm tree which can be found in abundance in the tropical forests around the property. The hotel offers excellent accommodation in spacious chalet style rooms which are all sea-facing with private terraces. The swimming pool also overlooks the ocean and for families there is a small children's pool. The hotel's jetty provides a romantic spot for sipping cocktails whilst experiencing a dream sunset. For experiencing other natural wonders of Praslin, the hotel has its own nature trail, with guided walks and remember to look out for brightly coloured birds; the black parrot, Madagascar fody and Indian myna bird are regularly seen in the trees, while tropical fruit bats fly high above the ground from sunset until dawn.
