Virgin Holidays - all inclusive package holidays and family holiday deals

In Goa;

Hailed as the 'Pearl of the Orient', Goa is famous for its magnificent scenic beauty and the architectural splendours of its temples, churches and old houses. Much more than just a beach destination, it is alive with a history and culture that dates back through the ages.

In a nutshellIn a nutshell

Although part of India, Goa remains quite distinct, as it is small enough to be explored in a way that other Indian states are not. With a total coastline of 125km, it is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, framed by coconut palms and small, whitewashed villages. The most developed beach segment is the Calangute, Baga, Anjuna belt to the north of Panjim. Water sports abound here as do beach cafés and restaurants serving exotic cuisine. Otherwise, beaches are delightfully untouched, giving you that lost-in-paradise feeling! Panjim is the state capital and has a lively atmosphere, reminiscent of the Mediterranean. In Old Goa, there are imposing churches and cathedrals to discover. English is widely spoken throughout and seafood is the staple, brought to your table fresh from the sea. The people are warm, friendly and laid-back, inspiring you to get into the holiday spirit and start relaxing straight away!
