Porini Amboseli Camp: Surrounded by acres of stunning scenery, this is the original Porini eco tourism camp with wildlife in abundance, including the big cats, and less common species such as African wildcat, striped hyena, gerenuk and lesser kudu. Birdlife is also prolific so make sure you look to the skies every now and then! The camp itself consists of 6 classic safari tents with en-suite bathroom, all meals and drinks inclusive. However, there's no swimming pool, bar or restaurant - this is real camping in the bush and definitely an experience to treasure with the local Masai as your teachers!
Porini Camps offer the chance to escape from the crowds and experience the Africa wilderness without the presence of other tourist vehicles. The tented camps are operated and managed by the local Masai communities with the objective of creating income and providing benefits for local people. They run on environmentally sound principles and are specially designed to have minimum impact, with no permanent structures and solar power.
