Secluded in 30 acres of coconut-rich gardens on a marvelous stretch of sandy beach, the resort is designed in the style of a traditional Malay village, using lots of lovely indigenous wood. Rooms are dotted around the grounds and 2 gorgeous swimming pools are amid the red roofs and colourful flowers. You'll no doubt spend much of the day relaxing around the pools, but there are water sports and a mini-golf course if you've got energy to spare. The Boat House BBQ Restaurant serves barbecue on the beachfront while the house band plays nightly, and there's fine Malay, Chinese and Indian food, as well as international specialities, in Spice Market restaurant. For Thai food, including great seafood, head for Niyom Thai Restaurant, in the gardens.
