Grootbos is Afrikaans for 'big forest', and the resort's luxury suites are spread among milkwood trees in this 4,000-acre reserve in the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom on the Whale Coast, in the best location for shark diving. Discover its unique plants on guided nature walks with expert conservationists. Guided trips to the nearby coast feature close-up sightings of the 'Marine Big 5' - southern right whales between May-Nov, and year-round viewings of penguins, sharks, dolphins and seals.

27 individual Luxury Suites in 2 lodges, Garden Lodge and Forest Lodge. All have sweeping views of Walker Bay, providing privacy and extreme comfort. All suites have large balcony, separate lounge, tea/coffee-making facilities and mini-bar. Garden Lodge Classic Suite have a shower only and sleep max 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. Garden Lodge Luxury Suites are larger with a bath and separate shower and sleep max 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Forest Lodge Luxury Suites are also available and sleep max 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child (over 12 years of age), children under 12 years of age are not permitted in the Forest Lodge Suites.
