This intimate and luxurious camp is in the Timbavati Reserve, which covers 60,000 hectares of pristine African bush, part of the famous Greater Kruger. Reflecting the charm and romance of a colonial past Kings Camp offers a number of very comfortable living areas for you to just sit back, relax and soak up the tranquility of the African bush. A thatched viewing deck overlooking a very active waterhole and an open plan lounge and bar are the ideal place to see out the heat of the day, while sipping an ice cold cocktail, or why not take a dip in the pool? Of course, your main activity will be wildlife watching. There are morning and afternoon game drives with knowledgeable rangers in open vehicles. Bush walks are also available.
Where is it?
In the Timbavati Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Approx 5-7 hour drive from Johannesburg. Approx 30 min from Hoedspruit Airport.
Facilities
Camp facilities include an inviting bar and lounge, deck overlooking the spotlit waterhole, gym, massage tsala and swimming pool. Library with satellite TV and Internet facilities. Fine South African cuisine is served in the elegant dining room, around a crackling campfire in the boma or in the bush beneath the stars. Helicopter tours over Blyde River Canyon are available. Moholoholo Wildlife and Rehabilitation Centre nearby.

9 Thatched Suites with views of the bush and 2 Honeymoon Suites with private plunge pools. All with private veranda with hammock, indoor and outdoor shower, air-conditioning and heating, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, safe, bathrobes and hairdryer. Suites with 1 king-size bed sleeping max 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. Honeymoon suites sleep max 2 adults.

Additional information: Your stay at Kings Camp includes 2 game drives per day. Conservation and road levies are payable locally (approx R200 per person). If you are self-drive guests, vehicle entry fee into the Timbavati is R100 per vehicle. Conservation levy R100 per person.
