Owned by our own Sir Richard Branson, this is one of the most luxurious and exclusive game lodges in the world. It is located amid the breathtaking landscapes of Sabi Sands and combines exceptional service with a superb safari experience - what could be better?
You can choose between 2 different types of accommodation. If you have a head for heights, stay in the unique Rock Lodge, high above the reserve, where all rooms have beautiful panoramic views and are carved out of the Ulusaba rock itself. If you like to keep yourself close to the ground, you'll enjoy the more traditional, but equally impressive, Safari Rooms - wooden stilted bungalows each with their own private sun decks. Your day starts early with a cup of tea and then it's out to the 4WDs in search of the reserve's exciting creatures. Then it's back to the lodge for a delicious hearty breakfast and a chance to enjoy the impressive leisure facilities - how about a dip in the pool or perhaps a soothing massage at the Aroma Boma spa? Lunch and afternoon tea are served at a variety of stunning locations. You'll enjoy an evening safari to spot some different bush creatures, before enjoying a first-class dinner accompanied by excellent wines and occasionally by tribal dancers and singers.

Safari Lodge Rooms: 3 Safari Rooms, 3 Elephant Rooms, 4 River Rooms. All are twin/double-bedded chalets with private entrances. Elephant Rooms and River Rooms are 'tree-house style' with many being accessed by swing bridges through the treetops. Safari Lodge does not accept children under 12 years. Rooms at Safari Lodge sleep max 2 adults. Rock Lodge Rooms: 4 Rock Cliff Rooms - twin/double-bedded each with private viewing deck. The Rock Suite, with a large terrace, 2 double bedrooms, 2 en-suite bathrooms and living area, is ideal for families. The Master Suite has 3 levels, 1 double bedroom with spacious en-suite bathroom and living area with private furnished sun decks. 2 Makwela Suites offering a spacious bedroom, living area, library area, infinity plunge pool and outdoor showers on the private balcony. Rooms at Rock Lodge sleep max 2 adults. Both lodges at Ulusaba can be hired exclusively - the ideal setting for weddings, birthdays or any type of gathering where you might like the place to yourselves. Additional information: Your stay at Ulusaba includes 2 game drives per day. Children under 6 years are not permitted on game activities.
Additional information
It is recommended to fly direct from Johannesburg to Ulusaba's private airstrip in the Sabi Sands Reserve where you will be met by your ranger and transferred to the lodge. Flight time approx 1 hour 20 min. Return flights are available from £325 per person.
