Set on a rocky outcrop overlooking the beautiful 75,000 hectare Madikwe Private Game Reserve, Madikwe Hills offers the ultimate in luxurious safari accommodation. The stylish suites are ingeniously placed amongst the giant boulders, where groves of tamboti and marula trees provide cooling shade. Each suite is an oasis of comfort, with soft sofas, cotton picot linen and even a cosy fireplace. Great pleasure, however, comes from the private plunge pools where game can be viewed as you cool off from the heat. And with its fantastic location inside the reserve, wildlife is never far away. This is, after all, one of the few places in the world where wild dogs can still be seen.
Where is it?
Madikwe Game Reserve, close to the border with Botswana, is approx 4-hours drive from Johannesburg and 1 hour 30 min from Sun City. It is also possible to fly directly to the Madikwe private airstrip - please call for details and prices.
