Tanzania is a land of contrasts and majesty; Africa at its most wild and unexplored. There is the snow-capped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the sun-kissed beaches of Zanzibar and the vast herds of game grazing on the Serengeti plains. Best time to visit Tanzania offers excellent game viewing all year round. The great migration takes place from Apr-Jun and Oct-Dec.
• In the green season (Apr-Jun and late Nov-Dec) there are low numbers of tourists, thus more exclusive, and the rains do not hinder game viewing.
• The dry seasons are generally better for game viewing when the game concentrates around the water sources.
• Bird watching is excellent year round, but the south is best at the height of the northern winter.
