Mount Meru Game Lodge enjoys an exclusive reputation, providing guests with an unforgettable experience of Africa at its very best! There’s also a homely lounge bar with picture windows overlooking a shaded terrace that merges into the garden and Game Sanctuary beyond. The small sanctuary is perfect for seeing the enormous eland antelope, ostriches, waterbucks, zebras, buffalo, the extremely rare black and white Colobux monkey as well as small wild cats and Monitor lizards. In a specially designed, enclosed area of the lodge owls, porcupines, turtles and even a crocodile can be found slumbering peacefully! The majority of the animals were either orphaned or badly injured and brought to the sanctuary for rehabilitation. By choosing to stay at the Lodge, guests play an important role in supporting their work. In return, you’ll enjoy the time of your life in surrounds that are second to none!
Where is it?
Nestled between the peaks of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro, within 33 acres of mature, well manicured gardens, bordered on one side by the Usa River and on the other by the Animal Sanctuary. Arusha is 18 kilometres. Transfer time from airport: 25 mins on tarmac roads.
