starting point to explore this spectacular region. The town itself is
famous for its temples and night bazaar where you can pick up some
of the superior handicrafts fashioned locally.
Further north, you'll come to Chiang Rai and the mysterious Golden
Triangle - where the Ruak and Mekong Rivers meet and border the 3
countries of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. You can enjoy fantastic walks,
elephant treks, intriguing hill-tribe villages and exciting river-rafting
expeditions in the jungle-clad hills surrounding Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.
