Pattaya

By day, take the boat ride from Pattaya town to Coral Island or Larm Island, where you'll find good beaches for swimming, water sports and coral beds. Or, travel the 3 miles along the coast to Jomtien Beach. Lining Pattaya's beach are shopping centres selling all kinds of wares. After the sun sets, things really hot up in Pattaya town.

Phuket

At the end of a lazy day, nature creates its own magical event with stunning sunsets setting the sky on fire. Water sports facilities are excellent at the hotels, and a boat trip past amazing Phang Nga Bay, with its stunning limestone scenery, is essential. In Phuket Town, you can explore the colonial heritage and buy some great arts and crafts in the market.

Khao Lak

The diving is pretty spectacular with coral reefs teeming with colourful marine life. When you can tear yourself away from the beach, there's plenty to discover inland, too. Krabi

The pace is unhurried and locals are friendly and welcoming. There's a wide variety of beach bars and simple restaurants serving tasty local dishes. For more natural sights, there are some amazing limestone formations take a 15-min boat ride out to the most famous Khao Khanap Nam and explore spectacular caves filled with stalactites and stalagmites.

Phi Phi

The islands are 25 miles south of Krabi and 30 miles east of Phuket. There are no roads, but many beaches are connected by footpaths and longtail boats will take you between beaches.
