Day 1: London - Delhi
Fly overnight with Virgin Atlantic from Heathrow to Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi
Transfer to the Claridges Hotel (standard) or the Taj Palace (superior) for 2 nights. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 3: Delhi
After breakfast, explore Delhi, a city rich in culture and architecture. Old Delhi boasts the spectacular Red Fort, Jama Masjid and the Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. In New Delhi, you'll find the Presidential Palace, India Gate and Qutub Minar. (B)
Day 4: Delhi - Agra
After breakfast, journey 5 hours to Agra, once the capital of the Mughal Empire. The afternoon is yours to relax at the Mansingh Hotel (standard) or the Taj View (superior). (B)
Day 5: Agra - Jaipur
Enjoy a city tour of Agra today, including the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulah, sometimes known as Baby Taj. In the afternoon, depart by road for the pink city of Jaipur, stopping en route at the Fatehpur Sikri (City of Victory). Transfer to the Mansingh Hotel (standard) or the Jai Mahal (superior) for the next 3 nights. (B)
Day 6: Jaipur
Enjoy an elephant ride to the Amber Fort today. After lunch, visit the Observatory and the City Palace, before a brief photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), boasting excellent views of the city. (B)
Day 7: Jaipur
Today is at leisure to explore Jaipur, home to cultural delights and also a shopper's paradise! Watch artisans produce jewellery, tie-dyed textiles, stone carvings and leather shoes. Jaipur is also famous for its incredibly light quilts. The main markets are at the Jauhari Bazaar and Badi Chaupar. (B)
Day 8: Jaipur - Delhi
After breakfast, depart by road for the 5 hour 30-min journey back to Delhi and spend the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the Claridges Hotel (standard) or the Taj Palace (superior). (B)
Day 9: Delhi - London
Transfer to Delhi airport for your Virgin Atlantic flight to London Heathrow.
Beach Extension
Why not extend your holiday on the beautiful beaches of Goa or Sri Lanka? If you choose Goa, you will take a short flight from Delhi to Goa and transfer to the Holiday Inn Goa (B) for 7 nights. Alternatively, fly to Colombo with SriLankan Airlines for a 7-night stay at the Riverina (AI).

Ranthambore Tiger Extension
Why not take this perfect opportunity to extend your stay by 2 nights and visit Ranthambore National Park? The former hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur, the Ranthambore National Park is situated in eastern Rajasthan and is famous for the majestic royal bengal tigers. On day 8, you will be driven from Jaipur to Ranthambore (approx 3 hours) for a 2-night stay at the Ranthambore Regency (standard option) or the Taj Lodge (superior option). Your stay will be on a full-board basis and include 3 game drives (2 late afternoon and 1 early morning) to spot the elusive tiger. On day 10, you will transfer by train back to Delhi for 1 final night stay.
