Description
Day 1: Depart Hobart
Depart at 8.00am and travel to Mount Nelson for Derwent River views. Head west to Mount Field National Park, Lake St Clair and Queenstown. The next 2 nights will be spent at the Silver Hills Motel, Queenstown. (D)
Day 2: Gordon River
Travel to the fishing village of Strahan for a cruise on the Gordon River and see the 1,000-year-old Huon pine at Heritage Landing. Enjoy some free time to relax or explore. (B/D)
Day 3: Cradle Mountain
Travel to Cradle Mountain National Park and up to Waldheim and Dove Lake for stunning views. Continue to Sheffield, en route to Burnie. The next 2 nights will be spent at the Beachfront Voyager, Burnie. (B/D)
Day 4: The Nut
Travel to Table Cape for views of Bass Strait, the lighthouse and coastline. Continue to Wynyard, then on to Stanley for views of 'The Nut', an unusual huge promontory. The hills roll on from Irishtown to our next guided tour of Allendale Gardens. (B)
Day 5: Cataract Gorge
Travel east and make a stop at Ulverstone. Continue to Ashgrove Farm Cheese Factory for a tour and tastings. You will then travel to historic Entally House, via Deloraine, for a guided tour. Back to Launceston for a visit of Cataract Gorge. Overnight at the Mercure Hotel, Launceston. (B/D)
Day 6: Depart Launceston
After breakfast, transfer to Launceston airport for your onward flight. (B)
