The Tour
An 11-night tour including the world-famous Kruger National Park, Sun City and the city of Cape Town - perfect for all the family.
Day 1: London - Johannesburg
Depart London Heathrow on Virgin Atlantic's direct flight to Johannesburg.
Day 2: Hazyview
On arrival into Johannesburg, take a connecting flight to Hoedspruit or Kruger Mpumalanga airport. Transfer to Hippo Hollow for a 1-night stay. Rest of day at leisure.
Day 3: Kruger National Park
Depart Hazyview approx 12 noon. Enter Kruger National Park via the Paul Kruger Gate. Head north into the park, game viewing en route to the camp, arriving at about 5.00pm. We use camps such as Satara, Letaba or Olifants. Your accommodation for the next 3 nights will be in a 4-bedroom house with lounge, kitchen and chef. Your chef will prepare dinner at around 7.00pm. Day 4: Kruger National Park
It's an early start this morning, setting off for the first of your early morning game drives. We travel to Letaba and visit the educational Elephant Hall, where you can learn more about these magnificent animals. Learn about their social structure and distribution, origin and evolution, and their relationship with humans. After the visit, brunch will be prepared and served at a picnic site, before heading back to camp for the rest of the afternoon. You will head out for a late afternoon game drive, returning to camp just before the gate closing times. Dinner tonight will be a traditional South African braai (barbecue) prepared by your chef. Day 5: Kruger National Park
Another early morning, heading out in search of game. Head back to camp for a freshly prepared brunch. At around 5.00pm, board a park's open vehicle for a night safari using spotlights to track the game. Return to your camp for a traditional South African braai prepared by your chef. Overnight: Rest Camp. (B/D)
Day 6: Sun City
Following the final game drive of your stay, head back to Hoedspruit or Kruger Mpumalanga airport for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, shuttle transfer to Sun City and the Sun City Cabanas - your home for the next 3 nights. (B)
Days 7-8: Sun City
Enjoy 2 full days at leisure at Sun City where there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained. Kids will certainly be kept busy at Kamp Kwena, Sun City's supervised kids' club, providing activities for children 4-12 years. Meanwhile, adults can enjoy a game of golf on one of the 2 championship golf courses, or perhaps have a flutter in the casino. Of course, there are plenty of activities the whole family can enjoy, from the Valley of the Waves, one of the largest water parks in the world, to elephant interaction in Pilanesberg National Park. Day 9: Cape Town
Shuttle transfer this morning from Sun City to Johannesburg for your onward flight to Cape Town. On arrival, collect your hire car and drive to the Protea Hotel President for a 4-night stay. (B)
Days 10-12: Cape Town
Enjoy 3 full days at leisure in Cape Town. There is plenty to see and do in Cape Town for the whole family, but the cable car to the top of Table Mountain and a visit to Boulders Beach to see the cute penguins are a must (not included). (B)
Day 13: Cape Town - London
Return your hire car to Cape Town airport in time for your return flight to London Heathrow with Virgin Atlantic or South African Airlines. (B)
