Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Auckland
You will be met on arrival into Auckland Airport, collect your Thrifty Rental car and proceed to the City Life Hotel, Auckland for an overnight stay in a deluxe room. (RO)
Day 2: Auckland – Paihia
Drive from Auckland to Paihia, travelling via either the East or West coast. Visit the historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds, overlooking the Bay of Islands (entry fee included). It was here on February 6th, 1840, that the Treaty of Waitangi was first signed between Maori and the British Crown. Overnight at the Copthorne Bay of Islands Hotel in a standard garden view room. Day 3: Bay of Islands
Check out of your hotel this morning and join the Great Sights Ipiprir overnight cruise. With some of the warmest waters in New Zealand the bay of Islands is home to an abundance of marine life including dolphins, whales, seals and penguins. The cruise includes commentary on the history, environment and some of the Bay of Islands most spectacular land marks. Overnight on the Ipiprir Cruise in a private cabin. (D)
Day 4: Bay of Islands – Auckland
Head back to Paihia wharf this morning and disembark. It is now time to leave the Bay of Islands and return to Auckland where you will return your rental car to Auckland International airport. (B)
