Description
Day 1: London - Johannesburg
Depart London Heathrow with Virgin Atlantic to Johannesburg.
Day 2: Loksop Dam
On arrival, you will be met and taken to collect your hired motorhome and given your driving instructions. Overnight: Aventura Resort Loskop Dam.
Day 3: Blydepoort
Travel through Dullstroom and Lydenburg to Pilgrim's Rest. On through Graskop to the Blyde River Canyon, staying at the Aventura Resort Blydepoort.
Days 4-8: Kruger National Park
Head north to the famous Kruger National Park through the Orpen Gate. In the park there are campsites at Letaba, Shingwedzi, Satara, Slimkuza, Pretoriaskop, Lower Sable and Crocodile Bridge.
Days 9-10: Mkhuze
Travel to the kingdom of Swaziland. Visit the Ngwenya Glass Factory and the Swazi candle-making factory before continuing to Zululand. Overnight: Campsite at Mkhuze Game Reserve.
Days 11-13: Kwazulu Natal
Travel via Richards Bay, Empangeni to Stanger. Stay at La Mouette Caravan Park for the 1st night and then 2 nights at Scottburgh's caravan park.
Days 14-15: Port Edward
Continue through Port Shepstone, Margate and Ramsgate. Stop for the 1st night at Koelwaters Caravan Park and north of East London for the 2nd night.
Day 16: Addo Elephant National Park
Take the coastal road to Addo Elephant National Park. Stay at Addo Rest Camp.
Day 17: Tsitsikamma
Proceed along to the magnificent Garden Route. Overnight at the Tsitsikamma National Park.
Day 18: Plettenberg Bay
Travel to Plettenberg Bay, make camp at the Aventura Resort Plettenberg.
Day 19: Plettenberg Bay
Using Plettenberg Bay as your base, explore Knysa and take a cruise on the lake to the Featherbed Nature Reserve.
Day 20: Swellendam
Continue on past Wilderness, Mossel Bay, Riversdale and on to Swellendam. Stay at the Bontebok National Park.
Day 21: Cape Town
From Swellendam, continue along the N2 and over Sir Lowry's Pass, where you will get your first glimpse of Table Mountain. Spend a night at a caravan resort in Simon's Town.
Day 22: Cape Town
Explore the fairest Cape, visiting Stellenbosch and the Winelands.
Day 23: Cape Town - London
Make your way to Cape Town international airport for your return flight to London. Please Note: Campsite fees are not included.
Vehicle Spirit 3
3-berth motorhome. Based on a Mercedes chassis, this 3-berth vehicle features 1 spacious double bed and 1 single bed. The hot-water system operates off gas and is electronically ignited from the inside of the vehicle. A full range of linen is provided in ceiling-mounted cupboards at the rear of the vehicle. The wardrobe, complete with hangers, is situated next to the toilet and shower compartment. When connected to 220v, the microwave is a luxury for the busy traveller. A gas stove, 12v compressor-driven refrigerator and all cooking utensils are found in the compact kitchen unit.
