Day 1: London - Johannesburg
Depart London Heathrow on Virgin Atlantic for your overnight flight to Johannesburg.
Days 2-4: Drakensberg
On arrival, you will be met and given your detailed driving directions before setting off southwards to KwaZulu Natal. The day is yours to enjoy the alpine atmosphere of this region. Dinner and overnight at Montusi Mountain Lodge. (B/D)
Days 5-6: Battlefields
After breakfast, head into the interior of KwaZulu Natal for 2 nights at the Isandlwana Lodge or Isibindi. (B/D)
Day 7: Zululand
A leisurely start this morning as you depart the Battlefields area and drive into Zululand. On arrival at Shakaland, you will experience first-hand the history of the Zulu people and insight into their culture. You will overnight in beehive huts and your dinner this evening will consist of local Zulu specialities. Overnight: Shakaland. (B/D)
Days 8-9: Zululand
Set off this morning for the safari centre of Hluhluwe. Overnight: Ubizane Tree Lodge or Hluhluwe River Lodge. (B/D)
Days 10-11: Zimbali
Depart this morning and head south, driving along the coastline. Overnight: Zimbali. (B)
Day 12: Durban - London
After breakfast, drive to Durban airport to catch your flight to Johannesburg and connect with the Virgin Atlantic flight back to London Heathrow. (B)
