World-renowned Kruger National Park is rich in elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and countless other animals and bird species - a nature-lovers' paradise. Cape Town's V&A Waterfront with its restaurants and shopping malls, and the beautiful beaches in Mauritius to finish off the tour!
Day 1: London - Johannesburg
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Johannesburg with Virgin Atlantic.
Day 2: Kruger
It's a morning arrival at Johannesburg international airport which will connect with your flight to Kruger Mpumalanga airport. Transfer to Hazyview for 3 nights. Situated on the banks of the Sabie River and only 15 min from world-renowned Kruger National Park, Hippo Hollow is perfectly situated as a base for wildlife adventures. You will be in the finest big-game territory for adrenaline-pumping wildlife experiences. Get close to nature (sometimes closer than expected!) by experiencing a walking safari in the park (can be booked locally), or enjoy a sundowner whilst watching elephants come down to the river for their own evening drink. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. (B)
Days 3-4: Kruger
Enjoy a day at leisure on day 3. On day 4, a full-day Kruger National Park open-vehicle safari has been included. Enjoy a unique view of South Africa's largest and most famous game reserve in the specially designed open vehicles accompanied by experienced game rangers. Kruger National Park has an unrivalled variety of wildlife including more than 500 species of bird and 147 species of mammal, including the 'Big Five', of course! (B)
Day 5: Kruger - Cape Town
Transfer to Mpumalanga airport for your flight to Cape Town (via Johannesburg). On arrival into Cape Town, transfer to the Protea Hotel President for 3 nights. This evening, why not take a stroll along the V&A Waterfront with its abundance of bars and restaurants? (B)
Days 6-7: Cape Town
On day 6, a full-day Cape Peninsula tour has been included. Sights include Camps Bay, Hout Bay, the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Boulders Beach, home of the famous colony of jackass penguins. Enjoy time at leisure on day 7. (B)
Days 8-13: Cape Town - Mauritius
After all that sightseeing and adventure, transfer to Cape Town airport for your Air Mauritius flight to Mauritius. On arrival, transfer to Grand Baie, in the northwest corner of Mauritius, only 20 min from Port-Louis, and the capital of Mauritius. Grand Baie is a unique village with a cosmopolitan atmosphere and home of the island's famous Yacht Club, and is reputed to have the most stable climate in Mauritius with the longest hours of sunlight. Within easy walking distance of the village, the hotel has its own private beach nestled in a secluded part of the bay, a large freshwater swimming pool, sun deck and loads of water sports. Day 14: Mauritius - London
Transfer to the airport for your Virgin Atlantic flight back to London Heathrow.
